Last week New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art held their annual Costume Institute Gala. For those of you that aren’t familiar… this event is like the Oscars of the East Coast lol… all the stars come out to the event and the red carpet fashion is red hot!!

London Loves Louboutin!

My favorite ever shoe designer just launched an exhibition of his creations at the London Design Museum and OMG I may have to fly to London just to see this! In celebration of 20 years of design, the exhibition has hundreds of his shoes on display! I’ve seen the photo’s and it looks amazingggg… stunning designs, and statement making pieces spread around the museum, hanging from walls, placed on wild carousels… they even have a Dita Von Teese hologram, dancing in a pair of red bottoms!

The Christian Louboutin Exhibition is at the London Design Museum and is open to the public from May 1st through to July 9th 2012!

Fight the bloat!

You wake up in the morning and your stomach looks nice and flat… and then a few hours later you look all swollen… urgh! Sound familiar!? Yeah… bloating is the most annoying thing ever… and you’re not alone, a lot of women (& men) have the same issue! The good thing is , there are things that you can do to fight the bloat!

Here are a few tips to punching that puffiness away!

1) Try and add foods high in potassium to your diet – this helps to regulate the fluid balance in your body- which helps fight bloat. Foods high in potassium include bananas, cantaloupe, spinach, tomatoes, nuts, and asparagus!

2) You may not realize it, but there are lots of habits that make you swallow more air- which results in bloating! Things like chewing gum & drinking through a straw. Try and avoid these things whenever possible.

3) Say no to bubbles! Carbonated drinks like soda will make you bloat!

4) Work Out! Working up a sweat will help you release fluids, and getting your body moving keeps food moving through your digestive system!

So judging by the facebook comments & tweets on my past posts, you guys want me to do more tutorials on how I do some of my hair & makeup… so by request, here is a tutorial on how to get the sleek straight hair I have in a lot of my shoots!

I do really love wearing my hair straight & I think it’s a style that suits almost everyone! It’s a very simple look, but still super sexy

The trick is to make sure that its super straight & sleek, but that you keep the volume so that it doesn’t look limp & hang flat! Also, be sure to use a good shampoo & conditioner that suits your hair type.
